How the business really works
Customers, pricing, growth, mistakes, expectations and the realities outsiders rarely see.
Launching September 2026
Conversations with the people building business in Ras Al Khaimah.
Different industries. Different backgrounds. Real experience about what worked, what did not, how they market, how they grow, and what life in RAK looks like from the inside.
The idea
RAK & ROLL brings together people from different business fields across Ras Al Khaimah. Each conversation looks at how the business really works, what the owner has learned, what marketing actually brings customers, what failed, what changed, and what they would do differently.
The industry may change every episode. The useful part is often transferable. A restaurant owner may hear something from a photographer. A property broker may learn from a fitness business. A retailer may recognise a problem described by a healthcare founder.
What we talk about
The conversation moves where it needs to. These are recurring themes, not an interview checklist.
Customers, pricing, growth, mistakes, expectations and the realities outsiders rarely see.
What actually drives enquiries and sales, what looked promising but failed, and what they would try next.
What is different about doing business in RAK and the UAE, and what newcomers often misunderstand.
Work and life, home versus here, ambition, frustration, strange habits, good stories and a few less predictable questions.
Across the emirate
The guest list is deliberately broad. RAK & ROLL is about the people behind the businesses, not one industry.
The questions
“If someone made a movie out of your business journey, would it be an adventure, suspense, tragedy or comedy?”
The serious questions matter. So do the ones that make people stop giving rehearsed answers.
The host
Kaan hosts RAK & ROLL as a business and marketing conversation, not a service pitch. The show is published under his personal name and keeps the focus on the guest, their experience and the ideas other business owners can take from it.
Each episode also makes room for a practical marketing discussion: what appears to be working, what may be getting too much attention, and what might be worth trying next.
